Hi, I’m Ilan Bliss, founder and co-owner of Bliss Dog Services. I’m a dog trainer, pet sitter, and walker based in Annapolis, Maryland—originally from Alexandria, VA. I’m also a proud veteran and someone who’s trained hundreds of dogs with care, patience, and purpose. And I’d love the chance to work with yours!

My journey into dog training began with my childhood dog, Hendrix. In his senior years, he developed severe hip problems and could no longer enjoy his usual hour-long walks. To keep his mind active, I began creating indoor training sessions for him. When his condition worsened and he could no longer walk at all, I helped carry him, care for him, and eventually retrain him to walk again—step by step. Through this experience, I discovered not only the power of positive, personalized training—but also my passion for helping dogs live happier, more fulfilling lives, no matter their challenges.

Today, I specialize in positive reinforcement training that strengthens the bond between dogs and their people. My goal is to create happy, well-behaved dogs—and confident, knowledgeable owners—through patient, reward-based learning.
